Development, construction, financing and operation of two 569 MW photovoltaic plants in the state of Pernambuco (Brazil). The plant occupies 1,200 hectares of land, with around 12,000 trackers and more than one million panels. It also includes the construction of an associated electricity substation and 28 km of high-voltage lines connecting the park to the national grid.
The plant’s maximum output will be around 1,200 GWh of renewable energy per year, equivalent to 21% of the residential consumption of Pernambuco State. This amount of renewable energy will be enough to supply the annual consumption of 723,000 Pernambuco households. The generation of this renewable energy will also avoid the annual emission of more than 109,000 tonnes (109 million kg) of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. This figure is equivalent to the amount of CO2 absorbed each year by more than 652,000 adult trees.
