PROCME, awarded at the VINCI 2024 Environmental Awards
On December 10th, VINCI held the final ceremony of the second edition of the Environmental Awards at the Salle Pleyel in Paris, with over 700 attendees. The event aimed to recognize and celebrate the most innovative environmental solutions developed by the group’s various business units in response to the climate and environmental emergency. Since the initiative’s launch in January 2024, approximately 1,000 solutions were submitted, all aligned with the group’s six major priorities: mitigation, climate change adaptation, new materials, reuse and recovery, water, and renaturalization.
Among the solutions presented, ‘ATLos’ by PROCME, a COBRA IS company, stood out and was awarded in the category “Acting for the Climate Awards, Mitigation – Mobility.” ATLOS is the first autonomous electric truck for freight transport, developed in Portugal, 100% electric and driverless, ensuring zero pollutant emissions and optimizing logistics processes through an advanced fleet management system. Ana Díaz and André Pardal, from the PROCME team, received the award.
In addition to receiving the first prize, COBRA IS was also awarded two regional prizes. Cobra Infraestructuras Hidráulicas received the Southern Europe region award in the “ecological restoration” category for its ‘Tecnosoles’ solution in the construction project of the Chira Soria Hydroelectric Plant. Cobra Peru won the Andean region award in the “reuse and recovery” category for its project ‘Reincorporation of construction and demolition waste for the manufacture of eco-construction materials.’
