In commemoration of International Women’s Day 2022, COBRA IS joined VINCI in a tribute to all those in the Group who actively work to promote gender equality and rights between men and women in all areas of society.

On 8 March, VINCI organised a non-stop online programme for its more than 270,000 employees in more than 120 countries. Highlights of this special day included various awareness-raising initiatives organised by the different companies of the Group to promote diversity and effective equality between men and women. This commitment to equality is a common principle reflected in the sixth principle of the VINCI Manifesto: “Let’s work together for plurality and equal opportunities.

Xavier Huillard, President and CEO of VINCI, and Jocelyne Vassoille, Vice-President, Human Resources, were the lead speakers in a dialogue taking stock of the specific quantitative and qualitative objectives needed to address inequalities and areas for improvement.

COBRA IS, as an integral part of VINCI, actively joined this global initiative. To show its commitment and support for the cause, it invited its teams to participate in the #WELIGHT “#ILUMINAMOS” initiative. As part of this action, the towers of the Dunas transmission line in Brazil were illuminated in purple as a symbol of thanks and recognition to all the women who are members of the COBRA IS teams and in people’s lives.

This initiative reflects COBRA IS and VINCI’s commitment to promoting gender equality and the importance of working together to create a fairer, more inclusive and diverse work environment.
